L.M. Archer is a freelance writer, wine journalist, certified Burgundy specialist, and storyteller about wine, the redThread™ that binds us all.

A Fellowship Award Winner to the 2017 Symposium for Professional Wine Writers at Meadowood Napa Valley, and a presenter at the 2016 Wine Bloggers Conference, her works appear in print, video, and online media, including Vineyard and Winery Management Magazine,  Wine-searcher,  Palate Press, Oregon Wine PressFoodable TV, BKWine Magazine, and France Today.

She is also the creator and editor of binNotes | redThread™, a site devoted to inspired stories about artisan wine and taste makers, and its companion tasting note series, The Hedonistic Taster.  She does accept industry samples in conjunction with her artisan wine and taste maker interviews, and is available for media visits to wine regions worldwide, with a particular focus upon Burgundy and small-lot, bespoke wineries producing wines reflective of their unique terroir, character, and soul.

Designations include Bourgogne, Master Level and French Wine Scholar from the Wine Scholars Guild; she is currently studying for the Champagne, Master Level. She has also audited the International Guild of Sommeliers Wine Fundamentals, Levels 1 & 2, and holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Smith College.

In addition to freelance work, L.M. Archer is the author of a historical fiction coming-of-age novel set in WWII Occupied Burgundy, France.
