Nothing like sibling rivalry! Chef Laurent Gabrel shows it’s all in the genes with Chloé Bistrot in Laurelhurst. For those of you unfamiliar with the Seattle bistro scene, Chef Gabrel counts Voilà Bistrot in Madison Park as his exceptional first-born. Chloe Bistrot shines as the très précoce little sis with a big attitude.
Parisian inspired velvet banquets and mirrored walls envelope diners in discrete chic, while the menu offers uncluttered cuisine and unpretentious wine selections served with serene panache. Regulars enjoy the house speciality – moules prepared five different ways.
binNotes Favorites: The ultra-fresh bibb lettuce and herbs in shallot vinaigrette, bouillabaisse with succulent mussels and clams in delicate herbed wine broth, and a bright framboise sorbet to finish, paired with a subtle Chateau Redortier Beames-de-Venise 2005.
Note: You’ll need to make reservations – this restaurant fills quickly with locals jonesing for their Francophile fix. Bon Appétit!
